Scandal Čiftja-Bani-"I vote to pass the vetting"/ "You acquit me in the court with SPAK"

The decision of the judge Erion Bani, who declared the vetting commissioner Etleda Çiftja innocent, has provoked reactions.

The Institute of Political Studies considers it as a "return of honor" by the judge to Commissioner ?iftja.

"I vote for you to pass the vetting and you acquit me in the trial with SPAK"! A judge is tested in a vetting by three members and passes it, one of the three members is accused by SPAK of the criminal offenses of forgery and false declaration of assets, and the judge judges the person who voted for him in the vetting!

Vetë subjekti sqaron se mund të jetë në konflikt interesi, por "garanton" se "marrëdhëniet me të pandehurën kanë qenë dhe janë ‘indiferente’”, thuhet në reagimin e ISP-së.

Sipas ISP-së, vendimi dhe detajet e vendimit janë pa rëndësi,  të pritshme, por thelbi është se ky mbetet një tjetër rast tipik që tregon se standardet e drejtësisë së re janë e mbeten ende larg prishtimërive, premtimeve dhe nevojës pë drejtësi funksionale, të besueshme dhe me integritet.
