CNA has revealed the payments that Sokol Sadushi received from George Soros' foundation.

Sokol Sadushi's asset declarations show that in several years he has declared income received from the "Open Society for Albania" Foundation.

According to the declarations, the first recorded payment dates back to 2004, when Sadushi declared a $500 honorarium as a member of the foundation's board.

After a hiatus of several years, in 2014 he declared $750 for participation in a project to draft the draft law "On Public Notification and Consultation", as well as for engagement in the constitutional reform project.

The highest declared value appears in 2015, when Sadushi reports 1,890,250 lek net from the "Open Society for Albania" Foundation for engagement as an expert in the Justice Reform Commission.

The experts who drafted the reform were not supposed to be part of the system, but Sadushi and others prepared the laws and paved the way for their chairs without going through vetting.
