The company that destroyed the south

The company "Gjikuria" has been caught in several serious violations. At the height of the tourist season, during inspections by the IKMT a few days ago, this company was punished with fines and suspension due to environmental pollution in the Dhërmi area for soils and in the Palasa area for water pollution.

IKMT has determined that the wastewater treatment plant was operating without a permit. For this, it was fined by IKMT, which has been strictly monitoring businesses that commit violations and pollute the environment.

But this is not the first time that the "Gjikuria" company has been accused of violations and irresponsibility.
This company has left the southern coast of Albania without water. The construction and works of this company on the water supply are scandalous, of poor quality, with cracks in various points in the pipes. 

At the height of the tourist season, when the entire South Coast must host thousands of tourists, residents and businesses face an unacceptable situation, the lack of water, the supply of which does not last more than 3-4 hours a day, and environmental pollution from inert materials.

It is unacceptable that one of Albania's most important tourist destinations remains without water supply due to an irresponsible company, which carries out scandalous, poor-quality works, caught in violation, punished by IKTM after being caught abusing and polluting the environment./ CNA
