Paunovic's statement, a threat to all Albanians

The statement by Snezhana Paunovic, Minister in the Government of Serbia, is not one of the first statements by Serbia's highest officials, which causes a serious offense by using language full of hatred, racism and xenophobia.

In Serbia, more and more, there are signs and banners with public inscriptions, expressing hate speech and open public threats against us Albanians. The most serious offensive statement was recently published by Ana Brnabi?, former Prime Minister of Serbia, we quote: ''Don't ask for rights, it's enough that we are not killing you'', currently Speaker of the Serbian Parliament. Meanwhile, inscriptions, banners ''Death to Albanians'', are found written everywhere in the cities of Serbia.

I consider it a language and incitement of hatred-threat, not only against the state of the Republic of Kosovo, but they are threatening against all Albanians. The statement of Snezhana Paunovic, Minister of Serbia, is most severely experienced by ethnic and autochthonous Albanians in the Presevo Valley Province.

The statement of Snezhana Paunovic, Minister of Serbia, the previous statement by Ana Brnabic, currently Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, as well as the inscriptions, banners ''Death to Albanians'', ethnic and autochthonous Albanians in the Valley Province, which includes Presevo, Medve?a and Bujanovac, I think are experienced very severely.

That if ethnic cleansing was not achieved in Kosovo, this is a message that Serbia will achieve precisely in Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac.

This is the great fear that dominates, as it continues that the political status of the Albanian Province, unjustly left under the administration of Serbia, has not yet been resolved, despite the plebiscite will of this Province, the Referendum of March 1 and 2, 1992, and the armed uprising of the UÇPMB, which defended the threshold, dignity and identity of this Province, but also the achievement of the Konçul Agreement.

This statement by Snezhana Paunovic, Minister of Serbia, among the citizens of this province, installs a complete uncertainty, thus sowing fear, a well-founded psychosis, increases panic and shyness. This produces extremely negative effects, especially among Albanians, who in Serbia live in conditions of classic discrimination. It is a demotivation for the youth and educated cadres, exposing them to fear, hatred, militarization, under continuous tendencies for displacement, migration and assimilation.

After this statement by a Serbian Minister, they should be alarmed and it should be a very serious warning. It is more than necessary to increase the presence and monitoring by internationals in the Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac Region. Serbia is quietly and completely silently implementing a clear strategy and, with concrete actions, is managing to officially depopulate Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanovac. The passivation of addresses, which is truly an organized state ethnic cleansing.
