The cyber attack also affected the Vetting Commissions/Decisions are published

The cyber attack that took place in July also affected the official websites of the Vetting Commissions.

The confirmation comes from the Independent Qualification Commission, which justifies the delay in publishing the decisions.

The websites of state institutions fell prey to the cyber attack and online services were paralyzed.

At the beginning of this month, the Director of the National Agency of the Information Society, Mirlinda Karçanaj, informed the Albanian public about the current situation.

In a public appearance, together with Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku and the representative of the special team of "Microsoft" for cyber security, Kevin Chin, Karçanaj gave details about the event and about the return to normality of services.

Regarding the unprecedented case, Karçanaj emphasized that ANA's response to this cyber battle has been on two main fronts: the recovery of all critical government systems and infrastructures and, in parallel, the isolation of malicious activity. Thanks to the quick reaction of the protection systems and the technical staff, - assured the head of AKSHI, - there was no loss of data, while an in-depth investigation has been launched to unravel the cybercrime as soon as possible./ CNA.al
