What the former chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, did in almost 8 years, was the failure of any cause, the betrayal of the Democrats, and leading from defeat to defeat the largest opposition force. For the first time in the history of democracy in Albania, the Socialist Party won the third consecutive term in government, and the DP remained in opposition for 3 terms.

And this thanks to Lulzim Basha and his ?mission?, which he seems to have achieved in ?perfection?. Throughout Lulzim Basha?s political career, CNA.al has listed many facts and accusations about his political approach, for which many often didn?t trust us, and reacted harshly, but time has already clearly proved everything.

All the facts say that what all Democrats accept today:that Lulzim Basha is an incorrigible loser. But the ?seal? of Basha’s failures was the elections of April 25, 2022. Under the leadership of Lulzim Basha, the DP lost the elections shamefully, ?giving? Edi Rama the third term in office of Primes Minister.

Instead of taking responsibility for the loss, Basha came out and declared to the media that ?the battle has just begun?. In fact, the events after September 2021 showed that he didn?t have the ?battle? with Edi Rama, but with the Democrats. On September 9, ?hiding behind the US?, with a personal decision and without consulting the party structures, Lulzim Basha expelled former Prime Minister Berisha from the DP parliamentary group.

An action that deepened the divisions within the DP. Berisha started his movement,”Rostrum?, with the Democrats in every city. The Assembly of December 11 and the referendum of December 18, 2021, clearly showed that the Democrats no longer supported Lulzim Basha, and didn?t want him at the helm of the party.

But the latter tried again to forcibly keep the seal and the headquarters. Reaching the next ?madness?:the armor of the DP headquarters. As in the January 8, 2022 protest, Democrats were beaten and tear gas was fired at them. To come further to the partial local elections on March 6, where Basha?s party not only did not win in any municipalities, but ended up shamefully as a third political force.

Basha has lost every political battle since 2013 when he took over the leadership of the DP. He never resigned, but found alibis such as ?elections were stolen, April 25 was an election massacre? and other things like this. While in secret it seems that he was following the agreements with the Prime Minister Edi Rama.

But, after the failure on March 6, Lulzim Basha left DP with shame. He publicly declared his resignation, although in fact he continues to hold ?hostage? the party on social networks, where he uses his servile to attack the representatives of the Re-establishment.

But, after all these developments, today take place the elections for the new chairman of the Democratic Party, where in the race are the former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the former head of the Democratic Party branch in Kukës, Ibsen Elezi.

But after leaving the headquarters of the Democratic Party in a shameful way, Basha has already ?disappeared? in an unknown direction. He has not made any reaction to the developments at the blue headquarters. Or maybe he thinks that his ?superman? who has given at least 6 positions in the party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, will be able to continue to hold ?hostage? the DP, for the personal interests of Lulzim Basha./CNA.al
