Students warn of protests for October 7th/ Starmer: Don't chant against the Jewish people

Today marks 2 years since Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, an event that triggered a wave of Israeli war on Gaza and the West Bank.

Pro-Palestinian rallies are expected in Britain today, to be organized by students.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer told The Times that they should not show disrespect for the Jewish community.

Starmer said the Jewish community in Britain is facing a rise in anti-Semitism.

" This is not our country. It is not British to have so little respect for others. And that's before some of them decide to start chanting hatred against Jewish people again. Our Jewish communities have also endured the rise of anti-Semitism on our streets, in our country ," the British prime minister declared./ CNA

Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Bristol are among the cities hosting student protests.
