"No panic and speculation"/ Ibrahimaj: Intervention in fuel and public

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, said today that the change in fuel prices has created a chain of effects in the daily lives of citizens.

In her speech in Parliament, Ibrahimaj emphasized that this price increase is a consequence of the geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

The minister further stated that citizens should not fall prey to attempts at panic and speculation.

Ibrahimaj added that the Albanian Government has focused the focus of this crisis on intervening in the price of fuel and public transportation.

"Not only fuel prices, but also transportation, food, services and living costs affect the lives of citizens. We are talking about a chain of effects in everyday life. The government's task is to analyze, act with prudence, transparency and with decisions that serve the public interest. The increase in fuel prices is a consequence of geopolitical decisions in the Middle East. We have been careful to monitor the increase in costs, but also attempts at panic and speculation. The first concern was the supply chain to guarantee that there would be no shortage in the country. In the current crisis, the intervention is focused on fuel and public transport. Intervention is being limited to abuse", - said Ibrahimaj. /CNA
