Opposition's accusations of blocking the integration process/ Ferit

Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha has responded to the opposition's accusations of blocking Albania's EU integration process.

According to Hoxha, there is no blockage or stoppage of the process, on the contrary, there is maximum attention from them.

"This draft resolution does credit to the country and the assembly. Since the adoption of the report, the EU's position has not changed. Support for the enlargement of the Western Balkans remains broad and consolidated. Our relations have never been more promising than today.

The country has advanced at an unusually accelerated and commendable pace on Albania's path to the EU.

Whenever there is talk about the expansion of the Western Balkans, Albania and our objective to close negotiations in 2027 are mentioned.

Member states say that if the pace is maintained, membership by 2030 is achievable.

This process, contrary to what is heard and said, has not been blocked and stopped by the member states, on the contrary, it has received maximum attention from them.

"We must be patient and wait for the decision of the member states," said Hoxha./ CNA
