Businessman Artur Shehu breaks his silence: I am a long-time land owner in

Albanian businessman Artur Shehu spoke on the Opinion show about the property issue in Zvërnec.

Artur Shehu stated in the Opinion that he is a long-time owner of that land, emphasizing that the land is indisputably the property of the Shehs.

"I am an old owner. I am one of the owners. It belongs to the whole family. I have 252-253 hectares with a certificate of ownership. The other hectares belong to the family of Eqerem Bey of Vlora.

"I will come and explain everything to you. The property is indisputably the Shehu's. It is a very old property," said Shehu.

Regarding SPAK's investigations, Shehu said that the Special Prosecution Office has its job to verify. 

"SPAK has its job to verify. I have nothing to do with SPAK," he said.

When asked if he knew the investors, Shehu said no and that there was an intermediary between them.

He also emphasized that he sold the land for 68 euros per square meter.

"I don't know the investors at all, I have an intermediary. The investors bought the land for 68 euros per square meter," said Shehu.  

Meanwhile, he has denied having met in Aruba with people related to the project, calling the media reports fake news.

"Absolutely not. It's fake news. I've been to Aruba and I love it."

"I have not met anyone related to the project in Aruba," Shehu said./ CNA
