Korça is ready to open the summer season with one of the city's most beloved events and not only, the International Carnival Festival.

The 19th edition of the grand event brings back the colors, characters, and rare atmosphere of the annual event on June 6th.

The Director of Public Relations and Publications at the Municipality of Korça, Lorena Saro, shared details of the program, which seems to be diverse and has much to offer the public.

"Carnival will be felt in every corner of Korça. There are over 25 groups from the city that will bring their energy and creativity, while the Youth Center will open its doors to children who will have their own festive space, with fun activities, face painting and lots of surprises," said Saro.

The highlight of the celebration will be the grand parade at 7:00 PM, which will start from the 'Lëndina e Lotëve' and will traverse the main streets of the city. The celebration will continue further in the Old Bazaar with a 'Carnival Party', live music, DJs and an atmosphere that will last until the late hours.

In this 19th edition, the celebration is joined by many friends from Greece, Romania, Serbia, Poland, but also many Arbëreshë.

The carnivals are just the beginning of an extraordinary summer in Korça. A summer full of events, emotions and memorable nights, with 'Korça Moto & Rock Festival', 'Lumina Electronic Festival', 'Korça Beer Fest', 'Korça Serenights' and many other events that attract thousands of visitors and tourists from Albania and beyond, undoubtedly turning Korça into one of the most attractive destinations of the summer season this year. /CNA
