The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has stated in the Assembly that the process of Albania's integration into the European Union requires political clarity, historical awareness and institutional responsibility.

According to him, EU membership is the country's major strategic objective and guides the entire reform agenda. Balla emphasized that this process should not be seen as a general aspiration or a slogan to be repeated, but as a concrete objective that is being achieved with sustainable steps.

He stated that the progress so far has not come by chance, but is the result of political will, discipline and coordination between various institutions, including the government, the Parliament, local government, civil society and the justice system.

Balla also underlined that the accession process is not only a government agenda, but a shared institutional responsibility. According to him, today it is not enough to declare support for Europe, but the ability to act in accordance with the standards of a European parliament must also be demonstrated.

"We are facing a moment that requires political clarity, historical awareness and institutional responsibility. Albania's membership in the EU is our major national strategic objective. It is the objective that guides our reform agenda.

It is not a general aspiration nor a beautiful slogan to be repeated. Our country is not moving at the pace of desire but at the pace of realization. Progress has not come by chance but is the result of the will of discipline and a coordination between the government, the assembly, local government, civil society and the institutions of justice.

We have the most important role in this process. The accession process is not a government agenda.
