Prime Minister Edi Rama has "passed" today's interpellation, requested by MP Tritan Shehu, to Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha.

The interpellation from Shehu was requested in relation to the Rama-Vu?i? editorial published in the German media. In his speech, Hoxha said that full membership in the EU is a non-negotiable objective and the article does not talk about giving up this objective.

The minister said that the fact that the article is co-authored with the Serbian president does not indicate any alliance. Further, Hoxha stated that geopolitical competition is stronger than ever and our country risks remaining on the periphery, but Albania is determined to be at the table.

" Full EU membership is and remains a non-negotiable objective. Nowhere in the article is there any talk of giving up this goal. It proposed an accelerated and flexible path. The fact that the article was built with the president of Serbia cannot be seen as any alliance. Engagement in dialogue demonstrates political maturity. Nowhere is the impact that such an approach would have on Kosovo mentioned. Geopolitics does not await us, competition is stronger than ever. We risk remaining on the periphery, Albania has decided to be at the table ," said Hoxha.
