Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted to reports that Albania's ambassador to North Macedonia, Denion Meidani, has been dismissed.

Referring to the reaction of Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha regarding the case, Këlliçi writes that Hoxha's reaction means nothing and lacks transparency.

The MP declares that when you call Albanians idiots like Hoxha did, you make a career, while when you come out in defense of Albanians, you are dismissed from office.

The main media in the country have made it a fait accompli that the Albanian ambassador to Skopje has been dismissed for his stances in support of student protests that came out in defense of the Albanian language.

Faced with this pressure and faced with a petition signed by Albanians of North Macedonia in favor of the ambassador, Minister Ferit Hoxha has distributed a statement that is neither clarification, nor information, nor a denial!!!

He does not deny the news, but he denies the motives. So he says that the movements in the Foreign Ministry are made based on other criteria.

Feriti wants to say that he did not make a decision against him because he supported the protest, but for other reasons.

Of course, this is a lack of transparency and in the case of our chief diplomat it is becoming commonplace. But from this whole story, there is a paradox that cannot be hidden.

When you describe the Albanians of North Macedonia as idiots, as Feriti did, with Edi Rama you make a career, you become Foreign Minister. When you get caught in this scandal, you don't even take responsibility, you even boast arrogantly in front of the media, saying that this labeling is something small, that we should forget.

Whereas on the same subject, on the same level, if you come out in defense of Albanian students in North Macedonia who stood up for their basic rights such as the use of the Albanian language, with Edi Rama you risk being dismissed.

How can this happen?!

Instead of dismissing the Minister who causes great damage to diplomacy and division among Albanians, the ambassador who stands by the Albanians is dismissed!

When will Mr. Ferit be held accountable for once, who came to this position as an asset, as a revelation of diplomacy, and who hasn't gone a single week without causing an incident?!
