Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa, in today's plenary session, focused on the arrests in the ranks of the Saranda police. Zhupa said that Saranda is turning into a crime scene similar to Palermo in the '70s.
The Democrat appealed to the authorities to intervene to guarantee security in Saranda, as during the tourist season the population doubles and the risk becomes greater.
Zhupa leveled accusations against the majority, saying that they know about the criminal connections in Saranda, but they are only silent because they are patronizing.
" They have turned Saranda into a crime scene similar to Palermo in the 70s. If you do not react, you have to face very serious consequences for that city. During the tourist season, the population in Saranda doubles and the danger becomes greater. Don't pretend you don't know about the criminal connections just because they are patrons who were given votes ," said Zhupa.
