Prime Minister Edi Rama has given an interview to the Estonian media outlet "Postimees", during which he also spoke about the issue of immunity from investigations.
Rama said that officials in Albania do not have immunity from investigations, leaving it open as a possibility.
The head of government added that in this regard, he himself could be investigated by prosecutors, without being aware of it, as only the Assembly has the freedom to decide by vote to restrict the freedom of MPs or ministers.
"In Albania we have no immunity from investigation. So, anyone can be investigated. Even I myself can be investigated by the prosecutor without even knowing it. The only thing the parliament does is say "yes" or "no" to the restriction of someone's freedom," Rama said, among other things./CNA
