Situation at Lushnja Hospital/ Minister Sala responds to Korresh: Opposition

The Minister of Health, Evis Sala, responded today to direct accusations from Democratic MP Saimir Korreshi regarding the situation created at Lushnja Hospital.

In her speech in the Assembly, Sala stated that the statements are nothing more than a distortion of reality through jokes.

According to Sala, the Lushnja Hospital is continuing to operate under the conditions of the reconstruction of the building, as it is included in an investment structure of the public health system.

"There is a big difference between telling the truth and trying to distort reality. Public hospitals are being presented as abandoned structures, while work is done there every day, investments are made every day and thousands of citizens are treated. It is easy to oppose with jokes. It is more difficult to build hospitals, build equipment and keep the system running during reconstruction, as we are doing today. I emphasize that the Lushnja Hospital is part of an investment structure of the public health system. For 2026, we have foreseen a total of 4.2 million lek in investments compared to our plan from 2025", said Sala. /CNA
