What does Rama's game with Silva the bear show?

What does Rama's game with Silva the bear show?

Normally, Rama's recruitment of a second-level official of Ilir Meta's party would not be worth even a few lines. This theft of figures within the two enemy brothers of the left is a battle that has been going on for years. In the end, like many things, it was won by the one in power, who has kidnapped one after the other, former ministers like Lefter Koka, Nasip Naço, Vangjel Tavo and even MPs or even peripheral characters like Brahimllari.

In this sense, the appointment of Silva Caka as Deputy Minister of Interior, who will replace someone who was penalized for smoking in the office, should not have left any mark.

But this act, no matter how insignificant it may seem at first glance, nevertheless raises some questions. Knowing that in politics nothing is accidental, the dilemma naturally arises: What did Rama need, Mrs. Caka? If the previous robberies of people with political weight, which produced votes, can be explained, then why this current one?

Once upon a time, the former LSI, with over 200 thousand votes, was an important party worth fighting for. It maintained for a long time the aura of kingmaker who decided which way the power would go. Meta and later Kryemadhi, led an important grouping in parliament, which numbered about 20 deputies. Under these conditions, no matter how immoral it seemed, buying someone from the former LSI was with electoral benefits.

Whereas today, with the former president in prison, with a succession of figures gone, it is a party in limbo, between extinction and survival. It neither has any weight, nor can it cause any surprises to those in power. Then why?

This question becomes even stronger if you navigate to Google to see Silva Caka's positions against Edi Rama. There you see the portrait of a corrupt sociopath with whom only like-minded people who find each other like a pot and a lid can cooperate. There you see an autocrat, who uses SPAK to fight opponents, who seduces internationals who treat Albanians as genderless pederasts (yes, yes, her words just a short while ago) and who uses all of this to wreak havoc on the elections.

Then what does such a person want in what they proudly consider the team of renaissance? What contributions does she have, what advantage does she have in transferring Ms. Caka to the SP? Doesn't her verbal past make the government even dirtier? Why was this purchase necessary when the electoral effect is zero?

To explain this phenomenon, at first glance paradoxical, it is worth recalling a fable that is well known to the generation of Edi Rama's peers and which he mentions, from time to time, in his speeches. It is that of the famous character of Tirana during the communist years, the animal tamer in the circus tent, Tahir Baçova. Once upon a time, they brought him a bear named Silva from the province (any coincidence in name and appearance with today's character is coincidental), which he would feed with candy whenever he wanted her to put on a show for the public. Every time they threw something to eat at her, Silva would start dancing and shaking, to the point that she became extremely famous among her contemporaries.

It is precisely the baton of the good Roma Baçova that is being taken up today by Rama, who is serving his fourth term. He throws bones at the flabby lips of every opposition figure, even those he doesn't need at all, just so that in the eyes of the citizens they can dance the dance of desecrating and destroying the opposition. He loves this circus. That is why he appoints someone as a director in the mortgage company, another as an MP in Vlora, and gives others jobs and positions in municipalities, in order to convey the message that those I face are just as saleable or buyable as those similar to those on my side.

And here we return to the case of Silva Mane. Under normal conditions, her departure from the opposition to power should not have been significant, compared to the desertions of the greats that have occurred before. But precisely because it is worthless and weightless, it becomes dangerous. After all, when he stole Koka, Naço, Tavo or Çela, Rama, at worst, was an immoral actor in the war within the species. While when he continues to steal even people without electoral power, simply figures who are needed, he no longer has it with the former LSI, but with democracy. He has launched an attack to delegitimize and ultimately destroy the opposition, which, after ensuring that he can defeat it in every race, he no longer tolerates even as a loser.

Now he wants her mocked or, better yet, nonexistent. That's why he threw the next candy at today's Silva.
