The spread of social media networking platforms (portals) has resulted in a fundamental change in traditional public communication.

Politicians are increasingly choosing to communicate directly with the public, through social networking platforms and the opportunities they offer to build a more effective communication relationship with the public.

Because political communication has an extraordinary efficiency in social networks. It is there as freed from the weights and inertias of other forms of communication as it is well assimilated by users and followers.

This is because it avoids mediation in public relations, mainly by political actors, leading to the creation of the opinion that this type of communication has positively influenced the quality of democracy, as it encourages the participation of citizens in public discussion.

Seen from the perspective of the public, it seems as if this transformation of political communication has made it possible to break down barriers between political actors and citizens, which has two important consequences.

First, this communication space in social networks, which offers a direct line of dialogue with the politician to express individual attitudes or problems, has made political and public communication less institutional and more personalized.

Secondly , thanks to this unmediated communication and the willingness of politicians to talk to ordinary users, we have a greater participation of citizens in public discussion, which can affect a better quality of democracy.

Seen from the politician's point of view, it seems that this transformation of political communication is positive and has made possible his promotion, rapid career advancement, building a profile, which is often false, because he (the politician) looks like it measures its popularity by the number of followers, likes and interactions and not by the actual political product it produces.

Nga ana tjetër kjo shpesh krijon përshtypjen e gabuar po tek politikani se, pavarësisht mungesës së “biografisë e jetës politike”, është i pëlqyer nga populli, duke bërë që të hedhë hapa të nxituar, të ketë ëndrra të pafundme fitoreje, që e shtyjnë në kandidime e humbje të njëpasnjëshme.

Sepse në jetën reale vlerësimi apo matja e kapitalit social e politik lidhet me nivelin e besueshmërisë që kanë individët, politikanët e përfshirë në jetën publike e politike.

Ndërkohë, gjithnjë e më shumë në Shqipëri ky fenomen sa vjen e përhapet.

Disa parti ekzistojnë vetëm në rrjetet sociale, pasi në realitet nuk kanë as vota, as ndjekës, as programe, as profile të qarta politike.

Sikundër në Shqipëri po shtohen edhe kandidatët e rrjeteve sociale të kërkojnë votat e elektoratit, të cilët ose, sepse dinë të përdorin rrjetet sociale, ose investojnë për të paguar stafet e tyre, kanë mundësinë e komunikimit të drejtpërdrejtë me qytetarët.

Emrat e tyre dihen!

Ndërkohë që politikanë të tjerë “tradicionalë”, me biografi dhe me përfshirje të gjatë në politikë, përpiqen maksimalisht për të qenë në qendër të vëmendjes, për t’u takuar me elektoratin dhe dështojnë edhe kur përdorin mediet sociale, “politikanët e rrjeteve sociale” arrijnë të jenë gjithmonë në qendër të vëmendjes.

A është normale kjo?

Për një sistem politik të mbyllur dhe një shoqëri që është e etur për ndryshim, normalisht që PO!

Hapja e sistemit politik dhe futja e politikanëve të rinj e ambiciozë është legjitime, por edhe e vështirë dhe e rrezikshme. Nëse, veç ambicies kanë vizion dhe biografi profesionale, janë të mirëpritur.

Por ka edhe rreziqe në këtë epokë të re të politikës në rrjetet sociale. Elektorati, sidomos ai i jetës virtuale shpesh nxiton të përqafojë zgjidhje të lehta. Përdoruesit e rrjeteve sociale shpesh janë gati të besojnë se njerëzit që promovohen dhe janë të famshëm në Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Instagram, Podcast, mund të jenë ata, të cilët kërkojnë dhe do të bëjnë ndryshimin.

Because, being skeptical by nature, but also from what I have seen, I know that these candidates and politicians pumped by social networks after four or five years will no longer be active in politics and will remember with nostalgia the fact that for a few weeks or months they were the first of social networks.
