After the oil, comes the headache

The biggest event of the last 500 years happened today. Albania has officially announced that there is black gold in its soil, more precisely in its underground.

While the big party has started with comments and likes on Facebook and Instagram, an unimportant issue has remained unexplained: what will we do with the hundreds of millions of oil dollars? What if the money we will earn exceeds the country's GDP?

There is no reason to worry. Just as the government made it clear, they are now working on the Sovereign Fund that will take care of the millions. The wisest and most experienced minds in the management of public funds have ready the plan of how the money will be spent. And here comes the surprise.

While many may think that it will be invested in road infrastructure, health, education, defense, the solution actually comes from thinking "out of the box".
Albania has a rich tradition of how it spends money when it "falls short". Let's not forget 97, when the Argentinian football stars descended on Lushnja. In 1997, with the money that happened to us, we took Kempes. In 2023 we can get Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Haaland and co.

Just imagine the prestige the country achieves. Forget oil, the next currency will be prestige. Prestige will rise so high that Albania will not only go to the moon, but will have its own satellites and will no longer need to rent them.
There will always be critics and envious people. But what do you need hospitals and schools when you can go to stadiums and relax watching the stars on the ground and the stars in the sky?

The battle today is not who pumps the most oil, but who has the most developed imagination.
And no money is spared when it comes to prestige! Man lives for prestige.

Even if the expected oil does not come out, at least half the work is done: The news has been given, (several times) the party has started, (several times), ideas are not missing, strategic investors are ready. Aren't these reasons enough to celebrate?! And those who intend to protest have the slogan ready: I ??want my oil!
