Tribute to Agim Doçin/ The poet is escorted to his last residence

At noon this Tuesday, tributes were held in honor of the great poet Agim Doçi, who passed away yesterday.

Colleagues expressed their appreciation for the figure of the poet and the contribution he has made to Albanian art.

The ceremony for Agim Doçin was performed in a funeral agency, since state institutions did not organize tributes in his honor.

Doçi passed away at the age of 76, after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage in the head on Saturday.

He is the author of many Albanian song lyrics, the winner of over 50 awards. The poet has twice sent Albania to Eurovision with songs written by him, sung by Anjeza Shahini and Kejsi Tola.

Also, Agim Doçi has created more than 3,000 song texts that have been sung in Albanian festivals and continue to be heard even today.

For his unparalleled contribution, the late President, Bujar Nishani, awarded him the title "Grand Master"./  CNA
