From salaries to free housing/ Financial treatment for the families of fallen

Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari announced that during the meeting of the Council of Ministers, a decision was approved that determines the measures, procedures and rules for the economic and financial treatment of the families of State Police employees who have lost their lives in the line of duty and the compensation that employees who have been injured in the line of duty should receive. The decision provides several benefits from scholarships to free housing. 

"The government cabinet considered it important to approve the decision that determines the measure, procedures and rules for the economic and financial treatment for the families of State Police employees who have lost their lives in the line of duty and the compensation that employees who have been injured in the line of duty should receive. This decision exhaustively addresses everything from immediate assistance that goes up to 10 gross monthly salaries of the deceased employee to supplementary family pension, full educational scholarships for the pre-university and higher education system for the children of employees, priority employment for the families of police employees who have fallen in the line of duty. What is also regulated is free housing for family members, including spouses and minors who benefit from housing built by the National Housing Authority or that comes from the implementation of projects monitored by the Investment Corporation and housing that has been confiscated from organized crime," said Lamallari./ CNA
