Today, at the age of 72, the well-known and much-loved poet from Korça, Skënder Rusi, passed away. After the loss of his father, the son, Eris Rusi, has written some touching verses about his father.

"This morning I took some time to meet my father, the poet Skënder Rusi. We laughed a little together, and then I hurried away, as is life, our illusion. I didn't hug him, I was going back to lunch again.

Now my father has closed his eyes, I kiss him and caress his hair, he looks so calm and good. But in my mind, I am struck by his verses, which he had for himself, he had for me, he had for every reader.

Eris Rusi has announced that all those who want to honor the poet Skender Rusi, the reception will take place near the Dea 2002 Funeral Home, near the city cemetery, today at 18:00.

The tributes in honor of the poet will be held the next day at the "Andon Zako Çajupi" theater at 12:00. The last farewell will be given tomorrow, on June 1 at 14:00./ CNA
