Lirika Pojani, one of the most prominent costume designers in Korça, has realized her dream, the creation of an exhibition of traditional costumes of the southeast.

With many years of experience, with a lot of passion, she has worked on 9 different outfits in the most popular areas of the Korça District.

With rare craftsmanship, with folk clothing made to the smallest detail, Lirika has managed to unfold her works that show a lot about the tradition and great values ??that this area has.

The exhibition called "Ethno Art" was received with great pleasure by Kor?ari citizens and art lovers, who were amazed by the special works of Lirika.

Lirika Pojani shows what works she has been able to accomplish for a very long time, since 2011, while her goal is to continue this project and bring to light old costumes from other areas as well.

"I tried to bring Korça, which has many costumes. I brought the whole region, Dardha, which is the symbol, certainly would not be missing in the costumes. Devollin, Oparin, and I am continuing because the area of ??Korça has many untouched costumes. We must to find and be fixed from the original, the old ladies have passed away and it is hard to find them, but we will dig in. Since 2011 I have made my first costume and continue to this day with love I make the costumes. I shared them with the people who wanted to order them, and today I share them with everyone. This was my dream in the drawer and I succeeded," she said.

The costumes are made by her by hand, but also with machines to complete the details and for the speed to realize them faster. For Lirika, it is very difficult to find the model, especially brings to attention the case of an old lady, who took Dardha's costume out of her chest.

"The costumes are made by hand, but also by machines. Various details that need to be done, but also for speed because time has evolved. In general, most of the work is done by hand. Dardha's costume was made as it was in those years in three generations. An old lady, she took it out and I was so excited. I mean something very important, in today's times that I worked on, I can't bring the shajak of those years because they have disappeared. But that doesn't mean that there is no value with the shajak material that I have realized," she said.

Lirika Pojani expresses her intention through this exhibition, to reawaken the rich tradition that the southeast offers, as well as the embrace of this tradition by young people.

"My main goal is to awaken the sense of tradition that everyone has, to be obedient, but more so in the younger generation. I want to bring them closer because when you look at the costume, you will feel that love and that pleasure that cannot be described The new generation will come to see it, touch it and create elements of the costume, to use it in everyday clothes, in parties and in 'party'. If I do this, and I will, I have succeeded she said.

"Ethno Art" by the costume designer from Korça will now be a key point of the attractions offered by the city of Korça. It can be called a museum realized with such skill and love by the corcara Lirika Pojani. /CNA
