On the 3-month anniversary of the death of the legend of Korça football, Teodor Vaso, an activity was organized with a triangular match at the "Skënderbeu" stadium in the city of Korça. The team of Skenderbeu, Flamurtari and Apolonia came together on Saturday afternoon to play a football match in honor and respect of Vaso. Young and old footballers, from Vlora and Fieri, have joined the stadium to remember the great Teodor Vaso. Vaso was one of the most popular figures of Korça and Albanian football, as part of the National Team, and as one of the players who has shown that he manages to score a goal even against the German team.

Vasil Ruci is considered as the legend of Vlonia football that many fans and sports lovers know throughout Albania. What should be emphasized is that the master managed to score 2 goals for the Barcelona team, while he became part of the matches in Vaso's honor for the sake of the respect he has for him. Such activities will bring even more fans to the stadiums, even Ruci says that in Vlora such organizations are often held and fortunately it was also realized in Korça.

"For this triangolare and on his behalf, it is a pleasure to take the trouble from Vlora to here, for the sake of the respect we have for that man, not just as a footballer, but a family figure, civil, socialized with the city of Korça.

I have not been able to reach him, but through my friends who played and were his opponents, they talk about a man with standards and a man whose kindness cannot be described in words.

We in Vlora have been doing these activities for a long time, thanks to Korça who also started them and I like that I am taking the first step. This is how all cities should act. The reason is simple, remembering and bringing historical figures to the stadium, I believe there will be even more fans for their city."

Pandeli Tole, another well-known figure in Albanian sports and more specifically in football, tells CNA TV that it is an honor for him to be in the Korça stadium after many years. Outside the field, the friendship between Tole and Vaso continued to be maintained, although they were opponents on the field. Even for Tolen, veteran football associations should be established in every district of our country, to honor every football player who has contributed to every city.

"It is an honor to be in this stadium today, I come to the Skanderbeg stadium after a long time. But, it is an honor and respect for Teodor Vaso who was one of the best football players of Skanderbeg, and as a very good person. Teodorin I didn't know him on the field, but outside of it, we had a very good friendship. It's a beautiful thing and everything should be done. We also got the trigger from Flamurtari, who was the first to do it this association, as well as us after them. I hope that they will make all the districts of Albania an association of football veterans.

Amarildo Dimo, the Fierak football player who enjoys the respect of all Korça fans, was part of Skenderbeu's team a few years ago. He returns again near the "Skënderbeu" stadium, with great emotions, remembering the golden times he spent with the Korçar team with many trophies won. Dimo says that this is a very good initiative, in honor of Teodor Vasos, and also an initiative that should continue for all Albanian football figures.

"Very big emotions, we spent a very nice period here, a very good team, trophies. Every time I come to Korça, it's nostalgia, the people, the public, everything is wonderful. I didn't know Teodor Vaso personally, but I heard his name, the contribution he made to Korçar football and I think he deserves everyone's respect. And that's why we came here, we left in the morning to respect his name and to meet our former colleagues again and friends. This is a very good initiative, I think that all those who have contributed should be respected. Sometimes it is better to respect them before they pass away because it would give them a greater pleasure to feel the contribution. that they have given. However, it is never too late and I hope it is a good omen."

One of Vaso's best friends and fellow players is Korçar Dhimitraq Dembo, also a respected figure in Korçar and Albanian football. Dembo says that they will always remember Teodor Vaso, while what he will remember for a long time is the moment when together with Vaso and 2 other footballers from Korça, they gathered with the National Team.

"I wasn't here, I was in America and there I found out that the legend of Albanian football and that Korçar passed away. We football veterans will always remember Teodor Vaso, for the contribution he made and above all his education and culture. These activities for the football figures of Korça should be done continuously, because Veteran Topçiu was a bright figure of Korça football. Therefore, they should be remembered because they are a tradition. We have gathered with Todo and Koço "Gergon with the National Team and for that I will remember Teodor Vaso all my life."

The three matches played ended with these results, Skenderbeu 1 - 2 Apolonia, Skenderbeu 3 - 1 Flamurtari and Apolonia 1 - 0 Flamurtari. The team of Apollonia was the winner of this triangular, followed by the team of Skenderbeu and in third place the team of Flamurtari. This was the first activity organized in honor of Teodor Vasos, being an initiative that requires continuity, for all prominent sports figures.
