Election of the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo/ Message from Vjosa Osmani

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has reacted after the election of Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly.

Osmani expressed his congratulations to the elected president and vice presidents.

The President emphasized that the Assembly of the Republic is the foundation of democracy and the institution where the will of citizens is materialized.

Osmani believes that the new Speaker of the Assembly will exercise this mandate with democratic responsibility, respecting the Constitution and with commitment to the interests of the Republic of Kosovo.

The President reiterated the need for constructive inter-institutional cooperation and full functioning of the Assembly, in service of strengthening the rule of law, democratic stability, protecting our state and historical values, and advancing our Euro-Atlantic agenda.

"I congratulate Ms. Albulena Haxhiu on her election as Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as the Deputy Speakers of the Assembly for the responsibility entrusted to them by the elected representatives of our citizens.

The Assembly of the Republic is the foundation of our parliamentary democracy and the institution where the will of the citizens is materialized. I strongly believe that the new leadership of the Assembly will exercise this mandate with democratic responsibility in respect of the Constitution and with commitment to the interest of the Republic of Kosovo.
