These works best present the development of Albanian iconography, the first evidence of figurative art in Albania, which carries history.

The French public will be introduced to the art of Albanian iconography, which dates from different periods and places in Albania, where Byzantine art had a greater development and embraced all currents and styles of Byzantine painting and Western influences.

In addition to icons from the Byzantine period, some of the works also belong to the great names of post-Byzantine Albanian painting, such as Onufri, Kostandin the Hieromonk, Kostandin Shpataraku, the Zografi brothers, Vangjel Zengo with his painter daughters, and many others.
