Trump: We are talking to Iran, I have not decided yet on further attacks

United States President Donald Trump has left open the possibility of military action against Iran, clarifying, however, that he has not yet reached a final decision, while diplomatic contacts between Washington and Tehran continue.

Speaking to reporters from the Oval Office, the US president was asked to respond to reports that he had met with his closest advisers regarding the possibility of a major military operation against Iran.

"No, I haven't decided yet," Trump replied.

At the same time, he affirmed that talks with Tehran are continuing and assessed that the Iranian side now seems more willing to negotiate.

"We are talking to them now. I believe that as the days go by they are becoming more and more serious, perhaps for obvious reasons," the president said.
