He who laughs last laughs best.

I'm taking this as a trigger from a recent text message conversation with Gonxha about the current situation. I asked him about Rama, was it just his breathing that was the problem or the entire leadership? Keep calm, he replied. Neither ignorance nor hypocrisy can take our breath away, he laughs best who laughs last.

Perhaps the most important thing for Gonxha is his dog. Perhaps the most important thing for Rama is his dog. In this case, Gonxha!

Dogs are also the focus of the national protest. But the latter do not wake up with fleas because they do not sleep with dogs, and today's event does not stink of grease and will lead them back to their feet, just like every other day, to the sins of government neglect, while I finish an article I started a few days ago.

Currently, I am in New York. My mind is in Albania and I am currently living with Jews.

When you make a decision like mine, to leave for a while and look back, you see more clearly. Perspective tells the truth, always bringing it to the fore, like in those famous tragedies where the protagonist prefers death to a life without honor, after having angrily killed the enemy to save the honor of the Republic and then himself to save his own honor.

But these were the times of Othello, not the brothels like today. With cholera and syphilis in the feet and malaria and meningitis in the brain and body.

What is wrong with that place that causes us so much confusion?

He who laughs last laughs best.

For years, I served an Albania I didn't know, from end to end. From Vermoshi to Konispol!

That unplowed land that leaves journalists unemployed, taking away their right to speak and giving them the name they have in the mouths of tyrants, gave me nothing, except enriching the ideals of those who, like me, with little luck, manage to overcome the serious obstacles of each year. Of course, from the other side, at the peak of media and political brilliance, we are seeing that the plague is not coming around.

In this case, the Enochs.

I came to America with a lot of sadness in my heart. Without money and without projects approved by the ministry.

Undoubtedly, lovers of power prefer to leave you in the dark, when they read in the other that it is not a short biography and when it does not belong to the minority, things can go even worse.

But I belong to those types who hate demotions and write about them.

At that moment, I bought a ticket and left. So, as if to convince myself that I am not the only one crucified after Christ, I decided to find some solace in the latest demonstrations. Those boys and girls are giving their best and I like that. All this bitterness and all those complaints, completely deserved by the last unguided youth… there on the boulevard of that Bollywood reality, make me realize that I am not the only one who, in life and in the country, loses faith.

He who laughs last laughs best.

For example, Ibsen. Ibsen wrote his masterpieces when he lost faith in humanity. Or Tolstoy! Tolstoy is the same, in everything. And I am the same in the media.

Even the poor protesters who never had their hands full with work from that government but today with banners, are still the same. History has shown us that the only cult that remains after faith is lost is that of love, which rightly makes me replace it with that of disgust.

But let's go back to the one above. I want to sing a little bit about Gonxha today, as Noli would say. And since we're talking about Noli, whom I brought with me to America, I want to share a short phrase that I really like; because he translates a letter from Goethe to Zelter, about Beethoven, which reads: "Unfortunately, he is a completely incompatible personality. Not that he is wrong to look at the world with hatred, but he does not make it more pleasant either for himself or for others" - the same as Gonxha, I thought as I read. So I'm addressing you from afar, not because you didn't give me the project I applied to you and that was rejected by your entire office, but because of the fact that you resemble the rooster on top of the dunghill, which he confidently calls culture*. What a horror, huh?

Why don't you become a painter? You were born with a shirt on. You become a painter both as a rooster and as a dog. And as if this ordeal of fate were not enough, you become a painter as well. A typical case of those who like work, whose art has been dead for years and you, even as a minister, couldn't awaken its colors. So how can you claim to awaken and cultivate art, at a time when you are sleeping on the streets of Albania with your diplomas and remain black and white your whole life? How is it possible that at a time when the social situation is getting out of control, your rhetoric lacks even salt?

How sad is everything I'm writing, isn't it?

He who laughs last laughs best.

You sowed so much violence in that country, to serve dirty funds and money, while the chains of demonstrators, out of insecurity and fear, are paying the price to their families.

You made this Albania with your supposedly successful tactics, but in fact with unforeseen fruits.

Now I want to close with a curiosity from the neighborhood I live in in New York, that you and your roommates don't know.

Do you know, Gonxha, that Jewish sex is strange to our culture?

Read carefully why.

Jewish women here wear a sheath or bag on their bodies that has only one opening. Men, on the other hand, use all physical movements towards them, except for looking. They do not use looking as a means of arousal and only penetrate. More or less like your work, Rama's and the poor dog among you. So, so is your context with the people.

It seems that the government has the oxygen tube in its hand. For politics, for art and everything else. No one should speak out or oppose. It is dangerous! Even more so if there is a spirit of opposition in the middle and all this comes to mind as I was just informed that today is an important day for the party and I remember the Nuremberg Congress.

Gonxhe, I advise you to take your dog with you for luck, as you always do during voting times. Keep this in mind. Don't leave me worried!/ CNA
