Meeting with Rama/ Japanese Prime Minister: We support Albania's membership in the EU

Prime Minister Edi Rama was welcomed with a state ceremony by his Japanese counterpart, Sanae Takaichi. The latter delivered her speech at the meeting with Rama, where delegations from both countries were also present.

She stated that Japan strongly supports Albania's membership in the European Union.

Among other things, he added that at a time when the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific is becoming increasingly interconnected, Japan will further deepen cooperation with Albania.

"Albania is an important partner with whom we share common values ??and principles. We are pleased that Albania's EU accession negotiations are progressing steadily. Japan will continue to strongly support Albania's EU membership. At a time when the security of Europe and the Indo-Pacific is becoming increasingly interconnected, we wish to deepen cooperation with Albania ," Takaichi said. /CNA
