“Tirana Incinerator, a story of theft and corruption”/Jorida Tabaku lists the facts

Former MP of Democratic Party Jorida Tabaku, says that Tirana incinerator is a story of theft and corruption. According to her, the more it is excavated, the more evidence revealed on this issue, which Tabaku calls a corrupt crime. Through a post on social networks she has explained explain the facts:

?- A shell company based in tax havens and without any experience in the field of waste treatment, and in violation of any law on procurement, today should have closed its mouth. But instead he comes out and talks about a concession that is paid with budget money as if had his personal money.

– The scheme through which the waste of Durrës was sent to the Tirana Incinerator is typically mafia. As the BIRN investigation reveals, the government first threatened and forced the closure of the Porto Romano landfill.

Then drowned the city in rubbish, while pressuring the municipality to send the waste to the Tirana Incinerator. According to the calculations of the municipality of Durrës, in the next 5 years the costs for this move forced by the government-PPP, are about 14 million euros.

– Meanwhile, according to the data of the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the incinerator company should have invested for the period 2018-2019 the value of 93 million euros. But in fact it has invested only 12 million euros (12 per cent of the value it should have invested?- writes Tabaku.

She further stressed out that residents and businesses of Tirana, see the increase by over 30 per cent of the cleaning fee only from this PPP. ?A small business pays 1500 Lek more, a large business pays 7500 Lek more, while a medium businesses pay 11.000 Lek more.

Only business tariffs have increased by 15 per cent, without calculating the costs for the citizens of Tirana who are practically stolen twice, first from the state budget money that goes to the incinerator in Tirana (total value 400 million euros), and secondly from the increased tariff abusively that goes again for the Tirana Incinerator.
