A national record and a lesson from Korça for Lulzim Basha

Yesterday in the district of Korça were held the only so far partially normal elections in the Democratic Party, where in some areas they couldn?t manipulate the votes. They couldn?t increase participation and the results are quite clear.

Somewhere a candidate escaped, as is the case of Maliqi, where voted people who were not members at all, the process was problematic, it was closed prematurely, and every candidature passed almost without any serious clashes. Although the votes against Ervin Salianji were masive.

But, the main problem was not Salianji and the Municipality of Maliq. The lesson came from the Municipality of Korça, where the candidate proposed by Lulzim Basha, Dritan Shano received massive votes against. So, the man sent for the first time to vote, was rejected by the structures. And this with the help and push of the chairman of the branch, Andrea Mano, who on the other hand has been massively rejected.

There has been also a manipulation with the increase of participation in Korça, as a consensus has been found to pass everyone. The war has been very fierce, but the intrigues from below have given a clear message to Lulzim Basha. Both the candidate that he had brought from Tirana, and the chairman of the branch, were rejected by the structures.

The race in the municipality of Devoll was almost a war. Lulzim Basha?s candidate, former MP Hekuran Hoxhalli received about 740 votes against, out of 1300 voters. So nearly 60 per cent of the votes of party structures against a single candidate.

A total rejection. So from Korça and Devolli we have two names, from the first five from the list of 2017, rejected by the Democrats, as Andrea Mano who was fifth and Hekuran Hoxhalli who was third.

The cherry on the cake was in Pogradec, where the votes of Democrats eliminated two characters, Klevis Balliu and former mayor of the municipality, Eduard Kapri. Klevis Balliu with a massive vote against, with almost 60 per cent like Hekuran Hoxhalli, and also Eduard Kapri.

These three large branches of the Korça region are enough to give a clear lesson to Lulzim Basha. Democrats form Korca district have rejected a former mayors and three former MPs from the winning list, ranked in 2017. Missing from this list is Valentina Duka who has withdrawn, Klevis Balliu, former rejected MP, Hekuran Hoxhalli, former rejected MP, Andrea Mano, fifth on the list of 2017, yesterday rejected and Eduard Kapri, former leader of the Municipality of Pogradec, rejected.

A lessson with a national record of rejection vote. Where no one could manipulate them. So, if in Shkodra they increased the participation and passed Voltana Ademi, Lorenc Luka or Bardh Spahia, in Vlora increased the participation and Bujar Leskaj escaped.

With these maneuvers they could save Dhurata Çupi in Dibër, etc. In Durrës, Igli Cara and Oerd Bylykbashi could be saved in the same way. But in Korça, Pogradec and Devoll they did not manage to do any manipulation. Although Korça, passed all the candidates. So no one left the race after it was claimed that you did not get 20 percent of the votes, the main names were rejected.

In the other two branches the rejection is over 60 per cent. A clear lesson that shows that Lulzim Basha in 2017 in Korça put a humiliating, denigrating list, disliked by Democrats and at that time received not a little, but almost 30 per cent less votes than in 2013, the day he came out in opposition.

From around 60.000  it decreased in 40.000 votes. A drastic decline, which apparently will not be able to recover even in the next elections. It?s enough to look at the candidates who have passed the list in the municipalities of this regjion, and the rampant protagonism of Salianj ?Babale? who is celebrating the victory over the ?bodies? of his colleagues, or

Andrea Manos who has drawn the ?sword?, that he will be the next leader of Korça, to find out where the DP list will end up in this region.

However, the democrats from Korça, Pogradec and Devoll gave a clear lesson to Lulzim Basha. As they gave in Maliq or Pojan. Or as it was the lesson that was given to Luli Basha in Vlora, Shkodra, Durres and Diber. But Korça had a national rejection record, which Gaz Bardhi couldn?t manipulate.

He could not artificially increase the votes in Pogradec, nor in Devoll, as he managed to increase them in Korça or other cities. But, the message of the branches of Korça region was quite clear. The servitudes of Lulzim Basha and Lulzim Basha himself are lost. They didn?t even have the support of the party structure. And that is the essence of what happened yesterday.
