From US visa refusal to questionable wealth/ Who is Donika Prela, the woman who “eats” men

The Special Appellate Panel (KPA) has decided today the dismissal of prosecutor Donika Prela. The KPA has decided to dismiss on the grounds that Prela does not justify the apartment in Durrës and a bank account.

During today?s court hearing, the parties presented their final conclusions. The Public Commissioner stated that he stands to the complaint, as according to him, the new evidence brought by the subject of the re-evaluation failed to prove the opposite of the reasons for the complaint. The Public Commissioner requested the College to amend decision no.103, dated 05.02.2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission and dismissal of the subject of re-evaluation Donika Prela.
During the presentation of the final conclusions, the legal representative of the subject of the re-evaluation presented objections to each of the grounds of appeal, considering them as unfounded in law and evidence.

Subject revaluation, Mrs.Prela asked the College to not consider the reasons for the complaint of the Public Commissioner and to leave in force the decision no.103, dated 05.02.2019, of the Independent Qualification Commission.

Prela, recently appointed by the High Council of the Prosecution, in the Prosecution of Tirana held for more than a year the position of Head of the Serious Crimes Prosecution, which was dissolved at the end of 2019.
At the time she took charge of Serious Crimes, several important issues were under investigation. In July 2019, Prela ran to be part of SPAK, but the High Council of the Prosecution (KLP) didn?t qualify her from this race. In October 2019, Prela requested to
be transferred to the Appellate Prosecution or the General Prosecution.
Prela was confirmed in office by the first instance of vetting on February 5, 2019 by a panel consisting of Roland Ilia, Valbona Sanxhaktari and Olsi Komici. However, the decision of the KPC was appealed by the Public Commissioner, arguing that:?The entity doesn?t justify part of the family savings?.
According to commissioner Florian Ballhysa, it is about a residential apartment in Durrës. Prela its not able to find a legitimate source of a bank account either. Which led to her dismissal today.

Who is Donika Prela
