What is hidden behind Veliaj's complaint?

What is hidden behind Veliaj's complaint?

By filing a complaint with the Constitutional Court, Veliaj has openly opposed Rama's signature and the SP's decision. But more importantly, for the first time, he is proving that SPAK and the Party were part of the same plan.

Perhaps Erion Veliaj was the last to realize where the blow was really coming from, but in this case, for the public interest and transparency, the expression "better late than never" applies. The mayor dismissed by his party made a decision this week to oppose the firm and Edi Rama and the decision of the Socialist Party. If they decided to get rid of him by abandoning him, alone, in prison, to pave the way for new elections in Tirana and his replacement with Ogerta Manastirliu, the latter has shouted: "STOP". At best, he has delayed it and at worst he is trying to prevent this from happening.

Taking advantage of the opportunity given to him by law to appeal to the Constitutional Court what the party and Rama decided, he has also signed the first act of separation from them. If previously, even from prison, he called for support for the boss, for the PS vote on May 11, and even now, recently, he did not blame those who refused to listen to his arguments in the municipal consultation, with the act of appealing to the constitution the divorce has been completely consummated.

But the most important thing is not this. If you read the text of Erion Veliaj's complaint carefully, you will notice an element that cannot be neglected. He refers to Article 115 of the constitution, which states that a mayor can only be dismissed for serious violations of the laws. His defense team claims that this constitutional article prevails over the law on local government (62/C), on the basis of which his absence from office for three months justified the Socialists' vote against him and the notarization of this act of the municipal council by Rama.

Without delving into confusing labyrinths of legal reasoning, Veliaj claims that his party dismissed him illegally and that Edi Rama was wrong when he formalized this act.

But, if we look back at all the positions that Lali has held since he was in prison for 10 months, his refrain so far has been: SPAK is keeping me in prison without a right. He has emphasized the termination of the mandate of an elected official without a final decision, the lack of proof from the prosecution of even a single corrupt act with his signature, the brutal isolation and the investigation like security forces. So his constant position has been that of a lynching for political reasons.

Until now, he did not claim authorship of this hypothesis. His supporters alluded that behind the anonymous whistleblower, Nesti Angoni, was hidden his former rival Belinda Balluku, but they could not go any further. They whispered that the war within the clan was hitting the “successful mayor designated as successor”. But never until now, neither they, nor Erioni himself, had connected the conduct of the Special Prosecution Office with that of the prime minister. Today, when Veliaj has publicly admitted that both SPAK and Rama have hit him illegally, the fable changes. For the first time, he has hinted that there is coordination between them.

The signs of this undeclared plan between Duman's gang and Rama's organization have been noticed in the decision-making corridors for a long time. The fact that Veliaj's legal reversal went hand in hand with the stripping of political power, the removal of powers within the municipality, the ban on statements to defend him and, finally, the elimination of all supporters from the new parliamentary group, had not gone unnoticed. But now, with the constitutional complaint, we have reached a new phase: the victim himself is admitting that both the prosecutors and the judge, as well as Rama and his former friends, have acted equally illegally against him. In other words, they have been together, not in search of justice, but in the plan for lynching. Therefore, no matter how late this conclusion may be that the dismissed mayor has reached, it is worth saying again: "better late than never". Because this track helps us better understand the scenes that produced his downfall. / CNA
