Birds' "targets", here's why they prefer red cars

It's a strange situation in which the bird targets the car and the driver has to pay for a small cleaning of the vehicle.

But that's not the only thing that stands out about birds' habits. They also have preferences, especially when it comes to cars, which means if you're planning to buy a new one, it's good to know what a classic and fairly widespread study has shown.

According to a Halfords study of 1,140 vehicles in Britain, the preferred car colour for birds... was red at 18% and includes its variations, such as orange, with blue in second place at 14% and black in third place at 11%.

On the other hand, just so you know for your future purchases, they show little interest in looking at ecological cars with only 1%, while they rarely pollute white, gray and silver cars. /CNA
