Trump: US seizes ship that tried to break blockade in Gulf of Oman

US President Donald Trump announced this Sunday that the US Marines have taken control of a ship that tried to break the US blockade of Iranian ports.

Trump announced this development in a post on the 'Truth Social' platform.

Among other things, Trump stressed that US forces are now also considering the cargo of this ship.

"The US Navy guided-missile destroyer Spruance intercepted the TOUSKA in the Gulf of Oman and warned it to stop. The Iranian crew refused to comply, so the Navy ship immobilized it by drilling a hole in its engine room. The US Marines are currently in control of the vessel. The TOUSKA is under US Treasury sanctions for past illegal activities. We have full possession of the vessel and are examining its cargo," Trump wrote. /CNA
