LVV proposes Kurti as mandate to form the new government

The Chairwoman of the General Council of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Arbërie Nagavci, has submitted to President Vjosa Osmani the proposal to appoint Albin Kurti as prime minister-designate for the formation of the new government.

After the constitution of the Assembly, a session is expected to be held to form the new government.

I am honored to, in my capacity as Chair of the General Council of the VETËVENDOSJE! Movement, submit to the President of the Republic of Kosovo the proposal for the appointment of Mr. Albin Kurti as Prime Minister-designate for the formation of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.

Based on the civic will expressed in the elections of December 28, 2025 and in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, we continue with institutional responsibility towards the formation of the new government.

We recall that the Assembly was constituted after the election by majority vote of Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker and the election of the Deputy Speakers. The five Deputy Speakers of the Assembly are Ardian Gola (LVV), Vlora Çitaku (PDK), Kujtim Shala (LDK), Sllvako Simi? (Serbian List) and Emilia Rexhepi (Multiethnic Group). /CNA
