"The attacks have not stopped"/ Ukraine and Russia accuse each other

Ukraine and Russia have exchanged accusations of violating a three-day ceasefire brokered by the United States and announced by US President Donald Trump.

"Since the beginning of the day, the number of attacks carried out by the aggressor has reached 51," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said. The Ukrainian Air Force reported 44 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Russia since Friday.

On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that despite the declaration of a ceasefire, Ukrainian armed groups launched attacks with the help of drones and artillery against the positions of their troops, without giving an exact number.

According to local authorities, drones launched from Russia killed two civilians and wounded three in the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions of central Ukraine. In the Russian region of Belgorod, bordering Ukraine, three people were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack, according to regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

After two attempts at a ceasefire, one by Ukraine and then by Russia, which were not respected this week, the US president announced yesterday, Friday evening, a three-day ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia that came into effect today.

Shortly after Donald Trump's message was made public, Kiev and Moscow confirmed that they had agreed to the ceasefire and the exchange of 1,000 prisoners from each country. /CNA
