The Albanian state has paid staggering figures for incinerators that do not exist and do not work.
By 2023, according to official figures, incinerators have received 129 million euros.
Payments still continue for the non-existent incinerator of Tirana, where there is an affair confirmed by SPAK, which has arrested officials, former officials, directors of the Municipality of Tirana, a former minister and his former secretary.
Although the waste is only buried, the salty bills do not stop.
Tens of millions of euros are expected to be given to the Tirana incinerator in 2025.
From the data obtained from the draft budget of 2025, it results that the incinerator of Tirana will be given about 12.5 million euros next year.

So, an incinerator that does not exist and is under sequestration by SPAK, will be financed by the taxes of Albanians with 12.5 million euros.
Beyond the income paid from taxes, the company has benefited from tens of millions of euros more from the soil and inerts that are deposited by the builders.
This affair has been frequently denounced by CNA, which has requested the suspension of these payments for services that are not performed in a non-existent incinerator./ CNA
