Paralysis of traffic in the DP protest/ Police: You will face consequences

The police have issued an official announcement regarding the roads that will be blocked tomorrow, due to the protest called by the Democratic Party.

PD has requested the blocking of the "Tirana-Durrës" road axes from 17:00 to 20:00, near the Kamza overpass; "Durrës-Tirana", near the Shkozeti overpass; "Kashar-Milot", near the intersection of Milot; "Elbasan-Tirana", at the Bradashes roundabout; "Durrës-Fier", at the roundabout of Rrogozhina and "Levan-Tepelen", at the roundabout of Levan.

The State Police declares that the free movement of citizens and vehicles should not be violated, regardless of the right to assembly.

"Based on and in the implementation of the law "On gatherings", the State Police has taken all measures to guarantee public order, the implementation of the rights and freedoms of citizens and participants in gatherings, as well as the protection of public and private properties.

Based on the object of the request made for the development of gatherings on some road axes, the State Police has replied to the organizers that it undertakes to guarantee gatherings that do not block the free movement of vehicles and citizens.

Blocking the roads is a criminal offense provided for by Article 293 of the Criminal Code, and anyone who takes action to block the roads will face the consequences of violating this article," said the police announcement.

Also, it is emphasized that measures have been taken to divert vehicle traffic to alternative roads, in case of congestion.

Citizens who want to travel to Rinas, in order to leave the country, must arrive at the airport before 17:00, or use alternative routes to arrive on time, due to the traffic that can be created./ CNA
