Complaints about environmental pollution in Dhërmi/ IKMT punishes 5

The National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection (IKMT) has taken punitive measures against 5 businesses that have caused environmental pollution in the Dhërmi area.

Prompted by citizen complaints, the Directorate of Environmental and Water Inspection at IKMT inspected the areas where the activity of fractionation/separation of stone aggregates is carried out.

Due to non-compliance with the conditions set out in the permit issued by the environmental authorities, the companies Gj*** Konstruksion, Gjikuria, A**** B****, E***Construction Company and B**** Express 2018 were fined and suspended.

"The National Inspectorate for Territorial Protection (IKMT) punished five business entities with suspension and fines for environmental pollution caused by them in the Dhërmi area, part of the Himara Municipality.

Prompted by citizen complaints, the Directorate of Environmental and Water Inspection at IKMT inspected the areas where the activity of fractionation/separation of stone aggregates is carried out.

Due to non-compliance with the conditions set out in the permit issued by the environmental authorities, the companies Gj*** Konstruksion, Gjikuria, A**** B****, E***Construction Company and B**** Express 2018 were fined and suspended.

Taking into account the progress of the tourist season, IKMT takes this opportunity to especially call on all entities that operate on the coastline to show increased attention to respecting legal obligations for the environment.
