The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, delivered his speech at the "Double Your Entrepreneurship" event, a national government support program for small and medium-sized businesses.

Sejko stated that the value made available for this program is 250 million, but announced that if this project is successful, this value could be exceeded. Among other things, during his speech, the governor also pointed out two advantages for businesses that apply to become part of the program.

"The total value made available is 250 million lek, but if we are to see success, the value of financing could exceed the value of 250 million. This program is to support small and medium-sized businesses. We have a 15% increase in private business lending, but we also have liquidity. There is sufficient potential to lend to small and medium-sized businesses, which are the main pillar of the economy.

The program has two important advantages, the first is the 2% interest rate, which is very attractive and favorable. On the other hand, businesses that do not meet the criteria will have a 70% coverage with a sovereign government guarantee. I urge banks to look at it very seriously and I urge businesses to benefit from this program , "said Sejko. /CNA
