Lulzim Basha’s act is to be applauded/ A battle won for free media and opposition

Almost six years after the signing of the incinerator PPPs, the Democratic Party has brought the complete file to SPAK. A process that started with an incinerator in Elbasan for only 22 million euros. Then Fieri was added with others 28 million euros, and finally ?the icing on the cake?, Tirana incinerator with 128 million euros.

Meanwhile, the incinerators of Tirana and Fier doesn?t exist. In Tirana, the costs that are billed to the business have increased a lot, but also those that are signed by the government, which come from the taxes of the Albanians.

CNA.al has been one of the media that for almost six months, has revealed every day new facts and documents about incinerators, from the companies of Stela Gugalla in Elbasan, to the companies of Mirel Mërtiri, where his cohabitant was a co-shareholder with an italian citizen.

At the incinerator in Fier, where several companies were connected to Tirana, where with exclusive documents we discovered how the Italian partner of Mirel Mërtiri, Ernesto Granelli was the director of the company Integreted Energy BV, together with Klodian Zoto.

From an office for a shell company in Netherlands, revealed from the papers of CNA.al and facts, that three Incinerators with a preliminary bill worth 178 million euros, are related to each other. So they almost pass into the same hand.

However, after almost two weeks of consecutive denunciations and many previous sporadic denunciations, DP has submitted today to SPAK the complete file of incinerators. That of Elbasan, Fier and Tirana. And not just because of the breach of equality in tenders, but he has pointed the finger at a structured criminal group.

And as CNA.al has said before, and has publicly asked the chairman of the Democratic Party, today the act is done. So, even for us as media, and all those media that have denounced and that have not remained silent about the incinerator scandal, this is a won battle.

A battle won for media freedom, for those who didn?t remain silent. A battle won for media freedom, even with those who were bought. A battle won also for the opposition, which already after more than six years has done the first act. That starts a battle and leads him to the last legal step, and apparently will keep him long, until the end.

Until the SPAK announces the names of the persons who will be charged in this case. On the other hand, this is an act to be praised by the opposition and it is to applaud Lulzim Basha, so that there is no complex against him.
