Behind the scenes/ Real Madrid blocked the sale of Nico Paz, the plan is revealed

Tottenham have made a €70 million bid for 20-year-old attacking midfielder Nico Paz, who plays for Como.

However, the deal has not progressed as Real Madrid, the club that still owns the player's card, stepped in. The Spaniards sold Paz for just €6 million to Como, but have retained a €10 million buy-back clause that is expected to be activated next summer.

For this reason, the Madrid club blocked any attempt to transfer him to the Premier League. The player's good performance with Como, especially in the match against Lazio where he scored and assisted, has increased interest in him.

Tottenham see him as an investment for the present and the future, but Real Madrid are not willing to lose control of him. The situation remains open for the next transfer window, with the Spaniards looking like the favourites to bring the player back to the Bernabeu.
