Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has reacted on social media following the seizure of the assets of the former director of ASKHI, Mirlinda Karçanaj.

Referring to Prime Minister Rama's statements about Karçanaj, Këlliçi raises the question of whether Edi Rama, who publicly stated that the former director of AKSHI has no property, will be held accountable today.

The Democratic MP writes that if Rama had any sense of dignity after the seizure of Karçanaj's assets, the prime minister should have resigned.

Edi Rama publicly vouched for the honesty and innocence of the director of the ANA, putting pressure on justice. He also offered evidence, saying that Karçanaj does not have a house or a car.

Yesterday, SPAK officially announced that it has frozen 3 properties belonging to Edi Rama's director, in the most expensive areas of Tirana and on the coast, bank accounts and other assets. Undoubtedly, these are what the investigation has managed to confirm, there are probably others.

40 million euros in total, including Agas, Beqiri and Hoxha, for their criminal activity related to the ANA, considered the personal garden of Rama and his family.

SPAK reports that the bribes were taken in euros in denominations of 100 to 500, inserted into wine boxes.

If Edi Rama had the minimum of dignity and held even a little responsibility, he should have resigned today.

Not only because he is at the head of all this corruption, since he is the creator. But also for the statements and positions he has made to the citizens, regarding Director Karçanaj.

He has committed a deliberate public fraud. More than a criminal offense, this is a serious ethical and moral violation and normally politicians and leaders are held accountable. And removal is the only way to correct the damage in such cases.

Of course, even today when his lie has been proven, Edi Rama will not be held responsible. He will probably be dealing with another affair.

But the greatest defender of corruption in our history, sometimes with votes in the Assembly and sometimes with public statements and threats, will not last long.

With this challenge he is making to Albanian society, he is simply making his departure more painful.
