Activist Aulon Kalaja has commented on the recent opposition protest and the intervention carried out by the police.

Invited to the A Krasta Show, Kalaja stated that the purpose of the intervention is to send the message that such protests will not be allowed in Albania, but only protests with speeches.

"They wanted to settle accounts once and for all with the protest, with the intervention they made this time. In none of the other seven protests or in the history of protests that have taken place in Albania, have we ever had phalanxes of state police, the group ready to intervene inside the protest. This is the first time it has happened and the message has been clear that only speeches are allowed here. Fireworks are not allowed to hit the plates. So, what is the difference in this case?

Citizens attack the prime minister's office to express their anger, which happens regularly, they have attacked the Arc de Triomphe in France. In Greece this happens regularly, they even have specific dates. And the difference between citizens who attack the plaques and the police who attack people. So, this is the big contrast that has happened this time. They no longer want to allow such protests in Tirana," said Kalaja./ CNA
