Kikia: Protests are not for fun, but to achieve the goal as a political event

Journalist Mentor Kikia shared two perspectives related to the national opposition protests today.

Invited to "Syri Tv", Kikia stated that the protest can be seen as a political event, but also as an interaction between citizens and the police.

Kikia emphasized that such an act serves as an activity where both sides appear to attack to achieve the goal for which they have come to the fore.

"Now I would like to look at the protest from two perspectives. The first as a political event, what it brought, what it produced, what changed from previous times and the second, the relationship of this political event in relation to the police. I am starting from the second. What we saw was a more aggressive counteraction by the forces of order than other times. I would like to single out the latter, because I have always defended the idea and I have said that the protest is one, it is not a walk, it is not an excursion, where the parties greet each other and give each other flowers or chocolates. The protest is an activity where there are two parties, the protesters, who have undertaken not to be simply walkers, but to attack to achieve the goal for which they are protesting", - said Kikia. /CNA
