"The journey to the EU, a common objective"/ Minister Hoxha meets the

Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, held a meeting with the rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament, Andreas Schieder.

As Hoxha announced through a post on the 'X' platform, during the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the progress of the negotiation process with Albania and the EU, as a common objective to advance further, through a merit-based process.

"During my stay in Brussels, I had the pleasure of meeting with Andreas Schieder, rapporteur for Albania in the European Parliament.

I warmly thanked him for his excellent work and continued commitment regarding the recent Resolution on Albania, adopted by the Committee on Foreign Affairs in the European Parliament (AFET), which conveys a strong and encouraging message in support of our path towards European membership.

We exchanged views on the progress of Albania's negotiation process with the EU, the importance of maintaining the current pace of reforms, as well as our shared objective to advance Albania's European future through a credible, merit-based and future-oriented process.

"Albania greatly appreciates the important role and continued support of the MEPs and all friends of enlargement, who believe in a stronger, more united and future-oriented Europe," Hoxha wrote. /CNA
