The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, attended the International Forum on Migration at the United Nations.
Lamallari delivered the keynote speech, focusing on the migration policies that Albania is pursuing, which, as he emphasized, are based on regional and global data and partnerships, while reconfirming Albania's commitment to concrete reforms in this field.
"Albania is a country of origin, transit and, increasingly, destination for migrants. Since the adoption of the Global Compact on Migration (GCM), Albania has remained strongly committed to its implementation, guided by a comprehensive approach of institutions and society. Albania remains firmly committed to further strengthening migration management in line with international standards and shared responsibilities", the minister said, among other things. /CNA
