"It is undermining the country and the Balkans"/ Berisha: Censorship

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, today made direct accusations against Prime Minister Edi Rama for ordered censorship of the situation in the country.

Berisha said in a media conference that the cause of this censorship is the level of crime, corruption and a number of other issues that he listed.

According to the leading democrat, in addition to the situation within the country, some of Rama's and the government's positions are affecting the undermining of the Western Balkans.

“It was adopted after extensive discussions based on facts and documents from the fact-finding mission of the commission, which visited Albania two months ago. This censorship ordered by the Prime Minister's office is in flagrant contradiction with the true, fundamental and main interests of the Albanian citizens. This position will hide from the Albanian citizens those truths that are vital. Member states are concerned about the decline of democracy in Albania and other issues, such as organized crime, drugs and money laundering, electoral farce, client investments in the public sphere, sky-high corruption, Edi Rama's position on mandates, opposition initiatives in parliament, blocking parliamentary control, ownership of every immigration process, initiatives that undermine the Western Balkans. The report is an extraordinary document in which it is established that half of Albanian children are at risk of poverty. It denounces the indifference in social policies towards young people, low funding in education, the lack of a policy for the employment of students, the complete register of investments", said Berisha./CNA
